At the Harrisonville Early Childhood Building we offer a number of early learning opportunities. At the Early Childhood Center, our vision is to grow together through play, connection, and care. Our children feel safe, loved, and valued; families feel supported and connected; and our staff work as a dedicated, flexible team to create joyful learning experiences where every child can thrive.
Our Programs
Preschool - At the Early Childhood Center (ECC) we provide full and half day preschool for students who are 3 and/or by July 31st. Each classroom is led by a certified teacher and a qualified paraprofessional. Our programs are supported through tuition, local and state funding measures and the Missouri Quality Preschool Grant (applies to 4 year olds only).
Preschool registration is a multi step process that will be posted on our district website beginning in March each year. See district website for more information.
2026-2027 Little Cats Preschool Handbook
Little Cats Club
Little Cats Club offers before-school, after-school, summer, and select non-school day child care opportunities for children and families in the Harrisonville School District.
Our program is designed to serve children whose needs can be safely supported within a group child care setting and current staffing ratios. Families are encouraged to discuss individual needs with the Director to determine whether appropriate accommodations can be provided.
Little Cats Club is available for students ages 3-5.
Full-day programming is available on select non-school days throughout the school year. Please refer to the Little Cat/Wildcat Club Calendar for specific dates and availability. On days when full-day programming is offered, space may be available for students who do not attend the Harrisonville School District. Additional information can be found in the Wildcat Club Handbook.
Registration for Little Cat Club
When you submit a registration request, it will be reviewed by Little Cat Club staff. Submission of a registration request does not guarantee placement in the program.
Your child is not officially enrolled until you receive confirmation that the registration has been accepted. Upon acceptance, a non-refundable $25 registration fee will be assessed. This fee helps secure your child's spot and supports program administration and materials.
Weather and Emergency Closures
Little Cats Club is closed on all AMI days, snow days, and emergency school closures.
If severe weather or other emergency conditions extend for multiple days, the Little Cats Club Director will evaluate staffing, building access, and safety conditions to determine whether services can resume.
Families should monitor the Child Care Google Calendar and district communications for updates regarding program closures and schedule changes.
Important Dates
Please refer to the Wildcat Club Calendar at a Glance and/or follow our Google Calendar for important dates throughout the year.
